Marc Antoine Lemay, project manager

With a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering (École Polytechnique de Montréal, 2006), Marc Antoine Lemay began his career as a programmer analyst for Banctec in Montreal in 2006-2007. He joined Pheromone as project manager, with responsibilities that include helping plan, design, produce and deliver projects as well as following up with customers and gathering intelligence on new technologies and methods. Marc Antoine has mastered many programming languages: Assembler, C#, C/C++, HTML, Java, Perl, SQL, VHDL, Visual Basic 5-6 and .NET.

Yves Lapierre

Yves Lapierre, partner,
vice president of finance
and human resources

A graduate in international trade law from the University of Ottawa (1988) and the Université Paris 2 (1991), Yves Lapierre has dedicated over 15 years to the evolution of the Internet. A trailblazer in technology intelligence in Quebec, Yves began participating in the mid-1990s in many technology intelligence and strategic analysis projects for organizations such as the Alliance NumériQ, Hydro-Québec, VIA Rail, TV5 and Just For Laughs. A founding partner of VDL2 (now Pheromone), Yves is now vice president, team and finance; he started out as a consultant and analyst for Pheromone’s customers and progressed toward a management role as the agency grew. His responsibilities include finance and personnel management. His objective is to support Pheromone in its strategic evolution and employee development.

Isabel Lamoureux

Isabel Lamoureux, receptionist

Isabel Lamoureux has over 12 years of experience in customer service, sales and coordination in businesses. In 1996, she co-founded a craft business, while working as a decorating and retail sales consultant. She then began studies in interior design (Attestation of Collegial Studies from Collège Lionel-Groulx in 2002). Isabel began working as a receptionist in 2003. She joined Pheromone in February 2009.

After university studies in accounting, Roula Issa began her career at a law firm. She was recruited by Pheromone in August 2009, joining the agency during the transition to its new identity.

Andrée Harvey

Andrée Harvey, director of consulting

Over the course of her career, Andrée Harvey has acquired in-depth knowledge of media and the art of communicating. She was an online editor for Microsoft’s Sidewalk project (1996), at Bell Sympatico (1997) and for TVA’s microsites (1999-2000) before becoming vice president of Inpix (2000-2005). Andrée then went on to become a multimedia producer for the business communications company Idées au cube (2005-2007). She joined Pheromone in August 2007. From the idea for a product to its online launch, including developing content, producing video, supervising staff and managing budgets and customer relations, Andrée has mastered all facets of the multimedia and interactive content production chain.

Sébastien Grégoire

Sébastien Grégoire, system administrator

Having studied in electronic engineering and telecommunications in CEGEP from 1998 to 2001 and automated manufacturing engineering at the École de technologie supérieure from 2002 to 2003, Sébastien Grégoire worked for Verso Technologies Canada beginning in 2001. A software quality assurance technician, he managed a Linux server farm, developed test procedures and designed web applications. Sébastien joined Pheromone in 2008. He has mastered a number of telecommunications protocols and the Linux environment.

Martine Ferland, accountant

Martine Ferland’s college and university education is eclectic: pure science, dental technician, programming, graphic design and, finally, general accounting. She joined Pheromone in 2005 as the head of the accounting department, with 15 years of professional experience under her belt.

Phil Essing

Phil Essing, senior web developer

After studying mechanical engineering at Concordia University and as a business analyst at CDI College in Ottawa, Phil Essing became a developer and webmaster at Seagram Canada (1997). He then went on to be an HTML integrator for Stylus (Montreal, 1997-1998) and a user interface architect at Generation.Net (1998-2000). Phil then joined the agency Nurun, where he was senior HTML integrator. In 2001, he designed and developed websites for Ryan & Deslauriers (Montreal). After a year of freelance web design and consulting, he joined Pheromone in June 2002. Phil is a specialist in user interface design, usability, accessibility and all the dimensions of web integration. He has mastered the programming languages CSS2, HTML, XHTML and JavaScript.

Jean-François Dumas

Jean-François Dumas, web developer

Jean-François Dumas completed his education in computer-assisted sound design in 1997. As a freelancer, he carried out many programming and integration mandates in the area of culture. In 2004, he received a bachelor’s degree in communication, with a major in interactive media, from UQAM, and then co-founded Nektar Multimédia. Its customers included Radio-Canada (he developed the websites for the 2006 and 2007 Bye Bye shows), Productions Jacques K. Primeau (Rock et Belles Oreilles, les Denis Drolet), and the Moquettes Coquettes. He joined Pheromone in September 2008. Jean-François has mastered the programming languages ActionScript, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, MySQL and PHP and a number of HTML programming and imaging editing applications.

Boris Dionne

Boris Dionne, ergonomist and script writer

An interface ergonomist and user experience specialist, Boris Dionne holds a bachelor’s degree in film studies from the Université de Montréal (1997) and a master’s degree in communication (interactive multimedia) from UQAM (2003). He started out as a freelance web developer (2000-2005), developing many sites, designing introductory web development courses for the Commission scolaire de Montréal and consulting for the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec. After being on contract for Yu-Centrik, he went on to become an ergonomist at Double V3 from 2005 to 2008. Boris joined Pheromone in September 2008. He has mastered a number of programming languages, software and Agile software development.
