The Quebec e-commerce Stats

How many Quebeckers are buying online and how much are they spending? Every month, our e-commerce index, the Indice du commerce électronique au Québec, delivers the numbers…
Every month since the summer of 2007, a survey of 100 Quebec adults assesses the habits of online consumers. The Indice du commerce électronique au Québec measures the proportion of Quebeckers who make online purchases and the amount they spend every month. It counts purchases on merchant sites and sites for e-commerce transactions between consumers, such as eBay.
The Indice du commerce électronique au Québec allows Quebec executives to make informed decisions about business strategy and economists to closely track this e-commerce, a phenomenon that is no longer a marginal activity and that is taking an increasingly important place in our commercial environment.
The Indice du commerce électronique au Québec is produced by Pheromone and the CEFRIO (Centre francophone d’informatisation des organisations), in cooperation with Leger Marketing.
